Dengue fever

Dengue fever is a virus transmitted by mosquitoes. The disease can affect people in different ways, from minor to severe reactions.

Dengue fever is normal in the tropics and prevalent in urban areas. There are four types of Dengue virus, and infection by one virus doesn’t protect you from being infected by the others.

The symptoms are typically high fever, rashes, headache and muscle aches.

There is no treatment or vaccine. However, the risk of getting the disease is relatively low. You can prevent the disease by avoiding mosquito bites.
