How to make a complaint
Our mission is to help our customers protect their health, e.g. through qualified help and personal health guidance, should an accident or illness occur. However, you may not agree with our decision. If this is the case, please contact the service department in IHI that processed your case. Then we will do our best to clear up any errors or misunderstandings.
Reevaluation of your case
If you are still not satisfied with our case management or the result hereof you can ask to have your case re-evaluated by our complaints officer, Tina Standager Hansen.
Please email us at complaint@ihi.com.
Please remember to include your policy number in the complaint.
However, if you still cannot come to an agreement with us, you can make a complaint to Ankenævnet for Forsikring (the Danish insurance appeals board) or to Forsikringsoplysningen (the Danish insurance information service).
Ankenævnet for Forsikring - the Danish insurance appeals board
The board handles complaints of all types of private insurance matters.
The board can only process your complaint if you can prove that you unsuccessfully tried to have the decision changed, i.e. that you have contacted us regarding the case and we have responded that we will not change our decision.
On the insurance appeals board’s website you can find more information and download the special complaints form that you would have to fill in. It costs DKK 150 to file a complaint with the insurance appeals board.

Complaints about decisions made by a counterpart’s insurance company and complaints about business insurances are processed by Forsikringsoplysningen. On its website you will find answers to a number of questions along with detailed instructions on how to make a complaint.
