Can I use more than one credit card to pay my outstanding balance?

Yes, you can settle the outstanding amount with up to 5 different credit cards.

Go to online premium payment. State your policy number and date of birth, and click “next”. Type your email address and click “next”. Tick the Payment Plan to pay your premium with different credit cards and click “next”. To add further credit cards to your payment chart, please click the link shown at the top of the Payment Plan. To remove credit card information from your payment chart, please click the “x” in the upper right hand corner of the box.

Please note that this service is not available when buying single trip insurance.

Which credit cards can I use to settle my premium payment?

We accept all major credit cards;

  • American Express
  • VISA
  • Eurocard/MasterCard
  • JCB
  • Diners.

Errors
I am trying to pay my premium online, but I keep getting an error?

1: If you type the wrong policy number and/or date of birth, you will not be able to access the online payment site.

2: If you type a co-insured’s date of birth instead of the policy holder’s date of birth, you will not be able to access the online payment site.

3:  If your policy has been cancelled due to lack of payment, you will not be able to access the online payment site. Please contact us at your earliest convenience if you wish to keep your insurance cover.

4: The online premium payment service is available at all hours, with the exception of a technical backup period between 23:45-02:00 (GMT +01:00). If you are trying to pay your premium online during this time, an error message will appear. Please resume the premium payment at a later stage or use our online form. You can also send us your credit card details by fax or email.

Future payments
How do I register my credit card for future premium payments?
In connection with your online credit card payment, you have the option of registering your credit card for future premium payments. Once you have registered your credit card details, we will automatically send you an email containing a link which you will be asked to click to confirm future debits on your credit card. It is therefore important that you remember to state your email address when paying your premium online. When you have confirmed the standing order instruction, ihi Bupa will automatically collect future premium payments from your credit card when your policy is due. The standing order instruction is valid until credit card expiry date, or until cancelled by you.You can easily cancel a standing instruction before card expiry date by sending us an email at contact_centre@ihi.com

Can I split payment into different instalments?

Yes, you can choose to split your premium in up to 5 instalments. To pay your premium online, please click Quick Links at the lower right corner of www.global.ihi.com com and choose Online Premium Payment. State your policy number and date of birth, and click “next”. Type your email address and click “next”. Tick the Payment Plan to split your payment.

Please note that this service is not available when buying ihi Bupa single trip.

How do I pay my premium online?

It is not necessary to log on to myPage to pay your premium online. Click here for a short cut to online premium payment  Log in using your policy number and the policy holder's date of birth.

If already logged into myPage, a link to online premium payment can be found under Payment information on the Policy tab.

When can I expect my policy to be paid when using the online credit card payment?
Once registered, the premium will be drawn from your credit card within 5 working days.We will confirm by email as soon as we have received your payment.

Payment options
Can I call you and give you my credit card information over the phone?
No, all credit card information must be received in writing. You may either use the online credit card payment, or send us your credit card details by fax or e-mail. To print a credit card payment form, click here.
How can I pay my premium?

You can choose between the following payment options:

  • Online credit card payment
  • International credit card: American Express, VISA, Eurocard/MasterCard, JCB or Diners.
  • International cheque
  • Eurocheque
  • International bank transfer.
  • To pay by bank transfer, please go to Online Premium Payment.  State your policy number and date of birth, and click “next”. Type your email address and click “next”. Select Bank Transfer to receive our complete bank details by email.
  • You may send us your credit card information by fax or email.
  • You can print a credit card payment form here

Rejection
What if my credit card is rejected? Will I be informed?
Yes, we will notify you by email if your credit card has been rejected.You will be asked to state your email address in connection with the online premium payment so we can notify you.
My credit card has been rejected. Am I still covered?
If your premium is outstanding, please contact us at your earliest convenience to ensure cover.
